On stage, played the story of Sarah, a young breeder sows, single mother and musician who opens a host table on the farm and tries to cope with multiple activities. This story is also that of Guy, John, Theresa, Martine ... all struggling farmers whose testimonies appear on a screen beside the stage.
Combining realism, seriousness, tenderness, humor, rebellion, emotion, the play tells of humanity, dignity and passion for farming trade "the best job in the world." It also reminds us that with humility: "It takes little to ..." ... switch hail, frost of spring, a bad insurance, a broken leg, your wife that bar. And when the curtain falls, it's time the discussion and sharing around a buffet of local produce organic farmers.
Combining theater, music and video, this show is built from the life stories of farmers in fragile situations. The show, created at the request of the MSA Ardèche and the Chamber of Agriculture of the Ardeche and directed by the Company of Olives, a huge success since its premiere in 2007.
This show allows farmers but also to citizens and policy makers to better understand the daily reality of being a farmer, to change their eye on the precarious in agriculture and more generally, to stimulate reflection on the agricultural model.
At the initiative of Nature and Progress Yonne, this representation has the support of "keeping watch - Burgundy," 89 of the collective "civic action GMOs and pesticides," the MSA Burgundy, the town of Avallon and the Council Regional de Bourgogne.
